Role
DeSimone is a 6'2", 194-pound right-shooting defenseman from East Amherst, New York, with no draft history in the NHL data. He played 40 games for Utah in 2025-26 and had 2 goals and 6 assists, plus a plus-4. In 2024-25 he had 6 points in 20 games for the Utah Hockey Club.
He hasn't played yet this season according to NHL data. Deseret News mentioned him as a possible third-pair partner for Peeke.
Outlook
Our take: DeSimone is the experienced option behind the six regulars. If a right-side defenseman goes down, he's the first call.
We expect 20 to 40 games and about 10 points, depending on injuries.
